Allyne Rosenthal, D.C.

Dr. Rosenthal has been a practicing, Board certified chiropractic physician for twenty-five years. She received her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degree summa cum laude from National University of Health Sciences. She is the owner and founder of the Rosenthal Clinic and the owner, founder and a consulting physician at the American Back Center. In addition to chiropractic, she has extensive post-doctoral education in nutrition and functional medicine. She is completely dedicated to offering her patients safe and effective alternatives to drugs and surgery. It is her vision that inspires the entire clinic..

Dr. Dr. Rosenthal is a frequent speaker for Chicago area corporate and community groups and presents a variety of workshops, including: Sitting on the Job; Stay In The Game: Effective Strategies for Combating the Aging Process; Choosing Health; and Managing Menopause, Naturally -- all designed to help people lead healthy, active, productive lives.

In 1998 she was selected by Today’s Chicago Woman as one of 100 women making a difference in the quality of life in Chicago.

Carlos Reynes, M.D.

Dr. Reynes is Board certified in internal medicine. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Loyola with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. He completed his medical degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed his internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital in Chicago. He has been a primary care physician in the western suburbs since 1991. He joined the Rosenthal Clinic/American Back Center in 2001.

He is passionately committed to integrative medicine which combines traditional and alternative options for prevention and treatment of disease.

Dr. Reynes offers a variety of workshops and lectures to community and corporate groups including: Your Roadmap to Optimal Health, Women's Hormones and the Use of Bio-identical Hormones, Are You at Risk for Diabetes? Alternative Concepts in Breast Health, and Change Your Diet Not Your Meds.

Cynthia Caldarella, D.C.

Dr. Caldarella is a Board certified chiropractor. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

She then attended National University of Health Sciences where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in General Science and a Doctorate in Chiropractic. She completed her internship at the Chicago General Health Services.

Kristin Argo, D.C.

Dr. Argo earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in nutrition from The Ohio State University and a second Bachelor’s in biology from National University of Health Sciences, where she also earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

She also did her chiropractic internship at Chicago General Health Services and for three years was a Chiropractic Assistant at Chiropractic Medicine and Associates in Wheaton, IL. She joined the staff at the Rosenthal Clinic/American Back Center in 2004.

Shefali Shah, MPT

Shefali received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering and her Master of Physical Therapy degrees from Northwestern University and has post-graduate training in McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, Pilates for Physical Therapy, and Isernhagen Work Systems for which she has Functional Capacity Evaluation certification. Her ability to create individualized programs drawing from her many areas of expertise offers a special advantage to our patients..

Prior to joining the staff at the American Back Center, Shefali was the Director of Rehabilitation Services at the Pain and Rehabilitation Clinic of Chicago, the Site Coordinator at the Healthsouth Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center in Willowbrook, and the staff physical therapist at the Hammond Clinic in Munster, Indiana.

Karen "KC" Caceres, PTA

KC received her PTA degree from Oakton Community College and has been a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant since 2003.

She has worked at both the Chicago Rehab Center and at Kindred Hospital – and has done extensive rehabilitation work with patients who have had hip, knee and shoulder replacement surgery. In addition she has experience working with acute respiratory care patients.

Kristen Gracz, Exercise Physiologist

Kris received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has been a fitness instructor at various Chicago health clubs, including Holmes Place, Multiplex Clubs, and Xsport Fitness and has taught classes in Pilates, cardiovascular exercise and strength training.

In addition to teaching classes, she works with clients with specific disabilities providing them with one-on exercise programs. Kris is also certified to provide VAX-D treatments.

Tiffany Riley, Certified Vax-D Technician

Tiffany attended Western Illinois University and majored in Healthcare Management and Human Resources.

She joined the staff of the American Back Center in August, 2003, is Certified to deliver VAX-D treatments, and is currently the clinic’s senior VAX-D technician.
