A Chiropractic Clinic Can Relieve Pain

A lot of people with pain and decreased motion don't realize the benefits they would receive by visiting a chiropractic clinic. People with injuries from old accidents, sports activities and work-related incidents can receive long term relief with a physical therapy program, especially in a clinic where physical therapy and chiropractic specialists work together. Leg, knee, foot, spine and back pain can all be relieved through a physical therapy and/or chiropractic program, rather than simply covering it up with pain relievers.

It's certainly true that a chiropractic clinic can be the most effective and safest place to receive treatment for leg and back pain from spinal injuries. Most of the things that cause leg and back pain have to do with malformations of the spine and the soft tissue structure that surrounds it. However, a physical therapy program can help to identify and treat misalignments in the vertebrae, which will start to heal all of the leg and back pain they have caused.

Those misalignments can actually have an effect on the entire nervous system, which anti-inflammatory medicine can only cover up for short periods of time rather than actually treating. The very best situation would be to visit a clinic where both chiropractic and physical therapy are available, and where the providers work together.

A chiropractic clinic can also increase the range of motion of the spine and all of the extremities. Increasing a person's range of motion can positively and drastically improve their lives in many ways. With leg and back pain, people can often not even bend down to pick up their children, grandchildren and pets, or participate in their favorite hobbies.

Similarly, a physical therapy program can start to heal those misalignments so the full range of motion will return over time. In many cases, an increase in range of motion immediately follows a visit to a chiropractic and/or a physical therapy clinic. The benefits can be both immediate and long lasting when you merge chiropractic and physical therapy.
